Jeanette McWilliams

Hi!  My name is Jeanette McWilliams, and I am a licensed Massage Therapist with 15 years of experience.  I am a transplanted native of Colorado, having moved here when I was 9 years old.  Before that, I lived in California and Arizona as a Navy brat. However, I spent many summers in Colorado with my grandparents, so Colorado has always been my true home.  I am married and have two adorable fur babies.  I began my journey with Massage Therapy when I was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident.  I was not hurt but did have typical shoulder and neck tightness and pain usually experienced due to the anticipation of the impact.  I saw an ad for such an issue and thought, "Why not?"

I had never had a massage before and always thought it was a luxury I would someday treat myself to for a birthday or a fancy vacation! So I went to my appointment and left feeling, "Oh my gosh! I need more!"  I began to think about how it would feel to make other people feel that great, and so I started looking into classes.

I finally ended up at PCC, where I completed my certificate in 2009 and received my license from the State of Colorado. After a couple of years, I returned to PCC to teach in the Massage Therapy program and act as its coordinator. I was an instructor for about five years until the program closed. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was an instructor in the Massage Therapy program at Intellitec for two years.

I specialize in Swedish Massage as I appreciate the overall benefits in keeping the body healthy and functional.  I also believe that is is the bedrock to relieving stress, which has deemed a major component to most illnesses and non-trauma injury.,

Massage Therapy helps to reduce or relieve inflammation, pain and anxiety, improve quality of sleep, circulation reduce high blood pressure, and keep muscle, tissue and skin flexible and supple.  Our skin is the largest organ in the body and has a lot of information to tell about a persons health - both physical and mental.  As a therapist, I can use that information to help manage your health.  I have interests in Myofascial Release techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Energy work.   I like to describe what I do as making a soup that is made specifically for you.  I add a little bit of this and a little bit of that and so that you feel really good after each session.  Even when it is just good old plain relaxation, my goal is to make you feels o relaxed that your snore or drool or both!

I named my practice Willow Massage because I love being in nature with grass, flowers, trees and especially water.  I really love willow trees because I see them as strong, yet graceful beings.  I hope to bring that to people by helping them take care of themselves so that their bodies are able to move their heir lives as easily and pain-free as possible.  I see massage therapy not as a luxury but as a very vital part of a being a happy, healthy and functional human being.

I am very happy to be a port of Pueblo Holistic Wellness Center as there are so many therapies that clients can access to pursue the best and most natural health available for themselves.  I look forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve a happier and healthier you!!!
